I can't seem to get there.

I can get to an acknowledgement of how it can make sense to believers that they believe. There's a lot of physical, psychological, and sociological reinforcement for that if one is predisposed. I can see how it might be considered desirably by society. But I can't see how it makes sense in that it logically follows.

Your triangulation is an agreeable way of going through life, though. Best I can do.

I don't think that belief can be communicated to someone who does not come by it naturally. It always looks like superstition or neediness or blind acceptance.
