Remember the movie M*A*S*H? There was one character whose oft-repeated line in the movie was, "Goddam Army." That's about all he said and he said it often. I think "outrage radio" appeals to these people. TP also had a good reply.

In terms of advertising sales, it's a "high-intensity" market, not necessarily high volume (pun intended). However, let's not overinflate the effect that AM right-wing rage radio has. I saw some statistics the other day which said fewer than 1 in 5 people listens to AM radio anymore. In the past, Limbaugh has claimed a faithful audience of 20 million people. Given the current population of the United States, if you stopped 50 people at random on the street, only 3 should consider themselves Limbaugh listeners, based on simple math. As an aside, I am always somewhat surprised by the number of Republican posters on this thread who don't care much for Limbaugh.
