This Crawford fellow has quite a history! Given hands-on exposure to early IBM PCs in high school, Crawford immediately began to grasp the complex architectures that make computer systems work. . . After receiving his master's degree in computer science from the University of North Carolina, Crawford went directly to Intel where his first duties were as a software engineer in Intel's development tools operation from 1977 to 1982.
