Dear Jane: I tell you the truth. Your sticking point between Peter and Paul seems to be the same sticking point that 1st century Jews had; that being they argued to keep the law. If they did that they could have escaped the persecutions for they could have claimed to be Jews, then.

I believe that yes you are correct when you say others were twisting Paul to the point of being their own little popes or their own little kings and God knows this still goes on today in just about every church; but I see there was a twist between Paul and Peter.

Paul embodies the argument of circumcision ritualistically as the law which by any heathen could keep and say he was a Christian.

But you will agree that the admonition by church leaders came from Peter, although Paul taught it and accepted it, for it was Peter and James and John back in Jerusalem that established the heirarchy of the church, and I be honest with you that I see Paul submitting to that authority,save the part of adherance to the law which I see caused quite a stir; and on that point I agree with Paul....In Christ....gregor
