Jason, Thanx for the link, been there, lots of links. Will consume some time and check into the 'short runs' Been at a couple, but either min run was 5000 or was laser coping B/W. Best so far was the "sonic" page. Will probably include the link. Have (lots) more to check. Looks like I missed an interesting 'news' day.
John Tooker, Doing a little reverse estimating, the pricing quote for a 1000 piece run with the Indigo was at $ .99 per sheet, my guess is you'll be able to charge .89 per sheet (close ?). That's about 10% cheaper than competitors at 1000 sheets. For a 500 sheet run I think the price was 1.17 and you should be able to charge about .96 per sheet or about 18% discount. (in the ball park ?) starting to see why you what a digital press (anybodies not just QM). John, if you'd rather not post estimates can you email ? (Joking - Think you'll need a partner in the office when you get the QM - let's see, being fair 6% for you 4 % for me -- I like seattle -- I think thats were you said your from)
Pierre, Been reading up on polyester plates, is interesting. Talk a little more about Toray, all eyes, and am willing to read. Will do some more digging myself. Also, if I have some time the later part of next week, I hope to stop and check some microfilm on the patent, got my curiosity up (thanx for the Item numbers)- no promises tho because schedule is a little erratic right now.
Neil, Complete blank on Skoda, If you have info please pass it along, will read up on it.
To all, I still feel the law suits are no more than two years of job insurance for the parties involved. Yes, it will tap the cash flow, I may be completely blind to it, but I'm not concerned, I purchased the stock due to the product. Someone mentioned insurance for such items, talk a little more please.
Have to say that technically this week was 'nice', a little bit to much volitility, but tolerable for setting a base, might just be able to base until next thursday. Would be extremely good. Sledge hammer news aside, expect next friday to be the telling day for the next 3 months - pre earnings friday and options expiring. Enough babble.
Later, TOM |
