Why is it politically correct for me to state that something like dsl technology may be relegated to being frozen in time, given other alternatives that have already demonstrated orders of magnitude advantages over it? This doesn't diminish its existence or cause it to be dead. It only states that it's less than an optimal long term solution, which is something we've learned to live with over the years in telecoms, where the desire to pay for higher capacity and quality doesn't yet exist.
