The short answer is I don't know. The commentators I've heard say telecom equipment remains difficult. However, Sun management indicated (in the last conference call, as I recall) that they've been able to find new sales avenues like CRM, and I think they also put out a press release indicating that sales of the new V880 are strong. Military spending might be a plus.

My best guess is that the commentary will be mixed, something along the line of, "Business remains challenging, but we are generating cash and are on track to achieve our goal of profitability in the June quarter." That doesn't mean huge profitability -- just in the black.

How the market will react is another matter entirely.

One positive is that the gray market machines some analysts seem so concerned about are fast becoming obsolete.

I hope they're taking advantage of these low prices to buy back some shares. That will help once earnings get rolling again.
