to thread, the iss report ix coming out this afternoon regarding the hwp/cpq merger. if they say it is bad the merger is all but over. if they say the merger is good, then the fight goes on. what is the threads opinion on the cpq/hwp merger? personally, i think a merged cpq/hwp would cause confusion in the marketplace and might be beneficial to sunw/ibm. on the other hand, a separate hwp and cpq does not have the breadth of product to compete with sunw and ibm. i need some clarification. rocky.
