Actual settlement occurs on Monday, first trade. Next time you've got a small position at around break even, try a Sunday change of plan.(I've changed instructions Monday morning at 8:30 successfully, but only on whole positions!)

Schuab and Fidelity are pretty competitive. I'll bet they let you do it.
