This is one of my pet peaves. "the "Inshallah" (sp?) mindset...." The term "Insha Allah" literally means nothing will keep me from doing what I've stated but an act of God that blocks me. I once saw a little girl (four years old) ask her mother to take her for ice cream when work was over. The mother remarked casually yes, yes, Insha Allah. The little girl remarked angrily, "No momma, you have to promise." Culturally the term has become an excuse for not making a firm commitment. That is, since God is All Powerful, whether or not the event occurs is out of my hands (and often my mind). The opposite of its original intent.
