My sympathies for the Church are limited. They've known about this problem for at least decades. It was hinted at when I was still a Catholic. And they've been doing what Clinton and his ilk do when caught in a compromising position. They covered up. Then, when it started to come out, they used delay and spin and other damage control techniques. While I have some sympathy for the good priests, they, too, were part of a corrupt organization, they knew it, and they had an obligation to not perpetuate it. The whole institution can fold for all I care. Folding would be too good for them. This is an atrocity that makes Clinton and John Walker look like candidates for sainthood.
