Hi Len.

Things may have changed in the years I've been out of this industry, but the concern I would have is vulnerable market share. Just-in-time inventory management quickly becomes crisis management if there's a supply interruption.

Sounds like a problem that is mostly limited to the Shoulder prosthesis. I don't know if Biomet has more than one facility making these, or even if the particular shoulder involved is their main shoulder prosthesis. If it is, and if they don't move quickly to resolve the issue, they could very quickly lose market share. That was becoming a major market segment when I left the industry and I believe Biomet was a major player in that segment.

From an investment point of view, perception is important.
In these volatile times in the market, best to get this behind them quickly.
