I presume you mean he "wrote the score" for "Somewhere Long the Way". It isn't unusual to see nouns being used as verbs today, it seems to make them more active. I have not seen "Somewhere Long the Way" but I will be sure to look now that I know Mark Johnson wrote the score.

Mark Johnson changed his name and entered the Witness Protection Program. He has given up on boats and is now an artist. I told him that the FBI did a terrible job of hiding him, he doesn't believe me.
