Uhh, Bill,

You forgot the part about Tom DeLay declaring Sen. Daschle unpatriotic for not acceding to Bush's escalation of the conflict.

And frankly, I've followed the discussion in the media, and I believe that both Daschle and Byrd were quite rightly concerned about the budgetary impact of an unspecified policy as well as the normal checks and balances between the Congress and the Executive branch.

I will challenge you to find one quote where Daschle actually says anything approximating "bashing President Bush". I don't think you can find it.
