I am not sure what you would want the Government to do.

LB,
i would like to see the government provide some clear, generic guidance and tips on how to survive a chemical, biological or radiological (CBR) attack.

i would like to see them provide a clear understanding of the different alert levels and what they should mean to the average American citizen and family.

i am not for fear mongering...i am for preparedness and planning. most do nothing because they have no idea what to do. i was taught and still believe that the biggest mistake is to do nothing because you can only do a little.

the government has extensive secret plans for the survival of key personnel and their families...it is time to share a bit of that knowledge.

in the event of a CBR attack, there is no need to wait for an uninspired government agency to provide guidance. three mile island proved the guidance will be very slow in coming...there are many simple things that families can do to prepare for such an event. the government should tell us what they are.

i do not consider myself a CBR expert, but i do have a bit of training... i attended a 6 week nuclear weapons course and 2 shorter training programs...and i was the deputy nuclear accident/incident control officer (NAICO) for the southwest united States for one year...i can say this with confidence...CBR is one area where a little knowledge is a good thing. the problem is most folks have no knowledge...
and that needs to be fixed right now before an attack.

i cannot think of a single reason why a short book cannot be prepared and issued to every family providing tips on CBR survival and how to prepare a family plan to manage in such an emergency.

my book is not political...i wrote it for my family and close friends to provide exactly the information i just outlined.

i just finished a letter to my congressman offering to give the book to the government if they will provide the information very soon to everyone. i will hand deliver it to his office tomorrow.
