Great news for those who believe that important policy - particularly with regards to the environment - should be made in public, and not behind closed doors. I dont blame Cheny/Bush for trying to hide it tho -- I'd be embarrassed too if I was listing Enron as a political ally. I'd just love to see their "advice" regarding ANWR and the environment in general.

What a crock. There is no shame in the administration's consulting with management of the largest energy trading company in the world prior to setting its energy policy. IN FACT, it would have been totally irresponsible and inappropriate to have done so.

The president's position concerning ANWR had nothing to do with these meetings; he had clearly enunciated his intent with respect to ANWR well before these meetings.

It is clear that this is an attempt on the part of Democrats to secure some kind of political dirt against Bush since they see him bringing the country back from eight years of liberal rule. It is just great.

Of course, when the Supreme Court rules in Bush's favor you'll all be crying foul; the Supreme Court is on "Bush's side" -- after all, THEY put him in office.

It is refreshing to see a man of true competence and integrity in the White House, after eight years of sleeze. Don't you agree?
