Heheheheh ...WTH, the NYA.X hit my ~600 far-target "magic line", I hauled down the spinnaker, and now here I am ~ up in the middle of the night ~ fiddling with my BONDs / fixed-income allocations (^_^)
...tempting to dump these silly CapGains into JunkBonds @ ~9.5% until EndOfQuarter.
OTOH - and now for something completely different -
...consider the Advance/Decline Line; note the apparent lack of "decay" in the A/D Line, relative to, say ~ the DOW or, the SnP.
so, What'sThisAllAbout ?
(1) Small & MidCap "Value" stox growing versus LargeCap index stox decay?
...look at, say ~ IWN - SmallCap Value ETF; yep, fits the (A/D Line) minus (SPX-500) variance.
(2) global "Diversified Emerging Market" stox growing versus U.S. index stox decay?
...look at, say ~ NEWFX - typical EM StockFund; yep, that also fits the (A/D Line) minus (SPX-500) variance.
hmmmmmm...
so, plug NEWFX or similar 'EM' StockFund into a T/A chart thingy, generate a "fast" and "slow" sto.
now, THAT is interesting ...the "fast" sto is VERY regular ~ almost a CYCLE = TRADEABLE PHENOMENA every month!
so... just like the A/D Line:
(1) very little DECAY ~ you could even call it, "growth"; and,
(2) fairly well-behaved UpWaves ~ you could surf 'em or, "leg into" CCALLs.
