hawk...a coupla more thoughts before i head out for the day.

the concept of preparedness...is hardly new to Americans.
the concept of preparing ourselves and our families for emergencies and threats is known by every boy scout and is a near universal practice.

nearly all Americans have an emergency plan.
midwesterners build tornado shelters. new englanders carry snow chains and shovels in their cars. floridians have hurricane shutters. we have smoke detectors in our homes. many use alarm systems, dogs or motion activated lights for home security. if Americans understand the threat, they will figure out how to protect themselves.

i have an idea for a test...i have mailed copies to several thread members with no military background...after reading perhaps they could answer three questions.

if you followed my instructions about the map, did you understand the one minute fallout zone calculator?
did you learn anything worthwhile?
now that you have this information have you or will you do anything to better prepare your family to survive this threat of terrorism in America?

i believe that we can help folks add to their family's current emergency plan to include the new threat of terrorism by informing them. and i think the government should provide the information not me.
