As long as these kinds of things keep coming out, and now that we have a spotlight shining on priests and boys, you have to expect that this kind debate isn't going away.

You know, the thread started out with a thoughtful discussion on the subject of the priests and child molestation. Then, all of a sudden--do not pass go, do not collect $200--the discussion was about the gay "movement," less thoughtful, more frantic.

There is a difference between being gay and engaging in opportunistic sexual behavior with someone of the same sex.

There is a difference between being gay and being a predator.

There is a difference between speaking out against ignorance and bigotry against decent people who happen to be gay and supporting the gay agenda.

But somehow, that ignorance and bigotry ends up lumping all it all together to the point where problem solving--yes, there is a genuine problem, the sexual molestation of children, in there--and critical thinking are compromised.

Perhaps it is too much to expect that "this kind [of] debate" be replaced by constructive problem solving.
