8:35AM: The pre-market indicators have slipped slightly lower in recent trading. Currently the S&P 500 futures are 0.6 points below fair value while the Nasdaq 100 futures are 14 points below fair value. Weighing on the market are the MCDT warning and the collateral damage in storage (JP Morgan cuts EMC estimates) and downgrades (DCLK, GILD). Also, report that GM has significant excess capacity and Merrill Lynch cuts equity allocation in both U.S. and U.K.
