07:38 ET CY Cypress Semi estimates raised by Merrill Lynch (23.93)
Merrill Lynch says that channel checks indicate CY's Q1 is tracking ahead of expectations due to strength in wireline (driven by orders from CSCO, LU, and NT) and computing end mkts; believes co has booked over $63 mln of the $84 mln in turns needed for Q1, but Q2 visibility remains low. Increases FY02 rev/EPS ests to $830 mln/($0.27) from $760 mln/($0.46) and FY03 ests to $1.03 bln/$0.55 from $950 mln/$0.35. Maintains Buy rating.

07:37 ET NVDA NVIDIA target lowered by Prudential (58.91)
Prudential lowers its price target on issue to $75 from $90. Says all major product areas continue to do well perhaps with the exception of co's nForce chipset, which firm believes is seeing slower adoption than expected. Given the reduced upside from nForce this yr and SEC review issue (which firm views as minor), Pru believes it is prudent to revise the price target.
