That is the distinction I was trying to make, but you made the point better than I did. In some (lower-class) cultures, having a baby out of wedlock is not a deterrent to future happiness/success, because many of these cultures are maternally based. In the American middle-class and upper-class Christian cultures, having a baby out of wedlock is a deterrent.

Hence, teen abortion is primarily a phenomenon of the middle class and upper class.
