Why would cable need telephone lines? Are you saying cable companies use telephone companies fiber optic lines? Phone lines? They are not doing this in my city. It's Comcast. They bit the bullet and put in fiber optic cable. The areas that are getting @home have fiber optic _cable_, not phone lines. That is why the market is small for @home right now-- the areas getting @home need a big investment in fiber optics for cable. The test areas have only ONE cable provider so the f/o investment is worth it.
