Once again...we come back to that pivotal question...did RMBS have valid patents applying to the design SDRAM and DDR before Jedec? If so...the assumption they would receive payments for them seems justified. If the interests already producing memory determined they could apply some of the IP to new designs, and also believed they could work around the patents, RMBS had little choice left to them. INTC, on the other hand...somehow i can't see RMBS trapping them into any agreements. It happens, but i have more faith in the management of INTC to use their vast resources to check out the claims of RMBS prior to committing their whole roadmap to it.
