Dave, Sun for their part can mount a DOS partition and read and write it today via Solaris. They also sell PC-NFS that allows a Windows machine to mount and use a NFS filesystems as well. I would buy the product for my PC and Sparc to share a filesystem, but it's like $500+ so I can wait for MSFT to give it to me for free. I make a living on Sun's but I hate the fact they unbundled the C compiler, removed indent, lint, and the rest of the programmers tools, their PPP sucks, and PC-NFS is a seperate product. I feel like I'm getting nickled and dimed to death. MSFT on the other hand just keeps adding more free features.
