What sort of day was it in biotech? The SI portfolio manager does not include cash when it gives a read out of the day's percentage gain or loss. The old, abandoned portfolios, abandoned with a good percentage of assets in cash........ "T/FIF", up 9.2%. "bounce", up 8.8%. "margin pain", up 9.0%. Unfortunately, "2000" and "2001" are largely apportioned in hunker down stuff, and were up only 2.9% and 3.7%, respectively.
