Oh, my goodness!

One guy told me about how he came to appreciate from his experience that real women don't look like airbrushed pin-ups and that that was OK. He turned out to be the sort of guy who would still find his woman attractive after she developed cellulite or varicose veins or stretch marks. I don't see how this can be a bad outcome.

Would you feel the same way if a female told you that because she was accosted by an older man when she was young, that she now finds men attractive who have soft stomachs, flabby arms and bad breath? They were abused young women and if they can get beyond their abuse...that's great. But not to remember the abuser with fondness.

I'm not so sure about older teenagers, boys or girls. I think with older teenagers it depends on the maturity of the kids and the circumstances of the experience.

In my world,if a young woman who is 16 and has a sexual encounter with her social studies teacher...he would be charged with rape of a minor.

And the circumstances of the experience? Because it left a girl of 14, 16, 18 with a pleasant feeling...the encounter was o.k.....if it left her with an unpleasant afterthought...it is rape?/sexual abuse?

And if you heard how lovingly my friends spoke of their experiences

Have you ever heard of a female on SI or elsewhere...who had been forced into a sexual encounter...speak lovingly of that experience? I doubt it!

Double standard, yes! Don't confuse someone who has matured enough to realize that he can love a women even if she has cellulite and varicosity because of who she is...and the person who speaks of sexual activity with an older woman as a young teen as though it was a loving experience.

The first is mature and the second may still need some serious counseling!
