I've seen many of BB's newsletters. Like I said, a co-worker subscribes and I read them (it would be illegal to say that I make copies for myself). He has 3 model portfolios. One is low risk, one is modest risk, and one is higher risk, although the risk is miniscule compared to what we equity traders face. Nothing more than no-load mutual funds, bonds and cash. Results are posted every month. He typically has a few stocks that he recommends for purchase, Not to exceed the 4% total port limit. I remember buying UTEK and holding it for quite awile based on BB's recommendation. I had nearly 10% of my port in UTEK. Ended up selling out for a 30% loss after the semicap group started swooning in the Asian flu. You know what! I did not go crying to message boards about how BB and his newsletter steered me wrong. I accepted the responsibility for the inherent risk in my purchase and moved on.
BB's show is "not" entertainment in any sense. It is the most boring 3 hours of "entertainment" one could imagine. Ask my wife. His listeners like him because he dispenses quality advice about money matters.

So you lost some money playing the Q's. Move along. This "lots of research on the subject" seems unhealthy. You need to accept responsibility. You made a bet that was significantly larger than recommended and you lost. So what. I've done the same probably a dozen times in the past year alone.

He's done even better in the bear market, keeping those who follow his model portfolios largely in cash.
I don't get it. What do you want?? I can guess. You want to double your money every year. Without risk. Since Bob Brinker didn't provide that to you, you are on some type of crusade to discredit the guy. Surely your time and passion can be used more constructively.
