Ann, Your sarcasm about the need for a big assed budget for the dickheads in the military is noted. Tonight, I listened to Terry Gross of "Fresh Air" on NPR interviewing Ridley Scott about shooting "Blackhawk Down". He allowed that the War Rackets Department sent him 8 Apaches to Morocco, along with a support staff of 135 men, at government expense, for each goddamn bird!, to aid in the production of his film. He was followed for 15 hours a day by two colonels in his jump seats in order to aid him in his story telling. Scott only got concerned about the expense of this once. It was when the suggestion was made that the staff use the helos to go out and shoot a couple of local boars in the foothills for a pig feed in this Islamic nation. Scott questioned whether the taxpayer's money was really being well spent on such an expedition. The brass demurred. Please, God, help me understand what it is you don't get about how awful a state this nation is in? ....................................................
