Very strange indeed.

I personally use BB's market predictions as a sanity check. Keeps me from getting too bullish during bear markets or vice versa.

I've also played fast and loose with his "gift horse buying opportunities. Hitting tech stocks hard. Been a very lucrative strategy, however I have the sense to get out when the stocks turn negative (at least I think i do). And I can validate his "buying opportunities" with my own set of indicators.

However, the majority of BB followers are mutual fund investors who choose not to devote more than a few hours per week to their investments. Pick one of the model portfolios and follow along. To advise these people to sink 32% of their retirement money in the QQQ's is outrageous. Still, at some point it would be evident that the buying opp wasn't going to be. With the QQQ, you would think that a 20% drop would be more than sufficient as a signal to get out. (.20)*(.32) = 6.4% hit to the total port.
Then again, you are talking to a guy who sold JDSU last week at 5.87.

<<He also likes John Bogle but Bogle says he has never met a market timer who could consistently time the market. Bob's a self proclaimed market timer. That is contradictory.>>

There are many people who can "beat the market" consistently.
I assume that "time the market" carries a different meaning than "beat the market"??
