I remember reading an interesting article in Fortune last year about @home The article stated that its an expensive proposal as all the existing cables need to be changed for losses stuck cable companies who rarely show any profits ever. I can't remember exact reasons. At the time article mentioned the venture capitalists for @home were pushing cable companies in bay area to use new technology. What has been development so far in terms of acceptance by cable companies. In the mean time 56K modems have jolted the modem industry once again. any comments?
