My cynical take on all the companies leaving Andersen isn't that they want to avoid guilt by association - it's that they know Andersen won't be taking any risks going forward.

If you're going to keep your present accounting scams going, you've got to find someone willing to sign off on them. With all the light being shed on Andersen, you can bet they'll be the most conservative going forward.
