AC, the bulls have a powerful propaganda machine on their side. The Wall St analysts and much of the financial press are willing to overlook aggressive and misleading accounting practices. The SECc goes after 15 year olds who pump and dump while the street tactics don't seem much different to me. You have heard what happened to two analysts who spoke badly of Enron - they were fired. one would think the firms would be proud to have sharp analysts who had the courage to think independently. If ethics and integrity mattered on Wall St these two guys should be getting mega bucks job offers from the biggest firms on Wall St and CNBS would devote a few power lunch episodes so these analysts could tell the public what tipped them off but that would upset the street. CNBS would rather let Suze Orman talk about her latest book. Mike
