dude, dark meat is type II fast twitch fiber.
I don't think it's necessarily better.
It has more fatiguable muscle fiber.
It's generally less oxygen rich.
It's generally higher in fat. ( so it can fire fast and hard and fatigue out...generating a lot of force)
Breast meat for example is like a postural muscle Type I white meat...(fires all day with low force required....ever put a chicken on it's back to do crunches?)
As opposed to say your biceps or your quads which is Type IIa or IIb fatiguable dark meat.
You fire your biceps about 10-12 max repetitions and the dude has shot it's wad.
The oxygen rich postural muscles just keep a constant firing all day long. Say your spine.
So you wanna tell me one is better for you.
I don't buy it.
Ok dude. Let's talk muscle physiology...
How your body deals with digesting it.
Hell i don't know.
You wanna' essentially eat what the chicken eats?
Think of eating shrimp ...
A shrimp is orange because of the stuff it eats.
You wanna' have an orange glow?
Hell go buy a bunch of Mangos and sit down and eat them in a sitting.
