Joseph, Re: "Wbmw, I have just watched the webcast. Your summary is excellent. I know some folks on this thread are rather skeptical about Intel's "other", and yet the impression I got from this webcast is exactly as yours."

I'm glad that someone else has been able to watch those. I think there is a big opportunity in several high growth market segments for Intel to establish a very profitable business. X-Scale will be the key, too, since it offers the lower power and higher performance that these applications demand. The PCA chips in Cell Phones and PDAs, the IOP networking processors, and the IXA programmable infrastructure CPUs are all going to find huge markets as the Internet expands, and as the Global communications market finds its lower cost entry point to make it mainstream. Ron Smith and Sean Maloney both seem like very smart people, and it's good to have them in charge of Intel's Wireless Communications and Networking Communications Business Groups. I'm hoping that the fruits of this labor become available soon. It could give INTC the stock boost it needs to test its high point.
