OT/ For the record: I am 100% opposed to any form or to the idea
of euthanasia which I regard as legalized murder.
Howeve it is important not to loose sight of another,
unrelated issue to euthanasia, and which is what we
where discussing,
while waiting for JDSU to go to 12? 13? more??? <VBG> and that is:
Is it right for any person to be coerced in any fashion
such as through taxation, the IRS, a political party, some
form of morality or religious teaching
to pay for somebody else's bad health if that bad
health came as a result of the other person's free choice to abuse his body through
-overeating,
-eating wrong food,
-smoking,
-use of illicit drugs/alcohol,
- sedentary activity,
-risky sexual activities that can knowingly result
in HIV or other VD.
And if it the right thing to do, please quote your source,
if it is anything other than your opinion.
Note: Obesity high cholesterol and tobacco, all freely chosen,
are now the number one cause of illnes and death and
hospital costs in the USA.
