Jeffrey, I don't know the details of you ETrade fiasco, but it does not surprise me one bit. That is what they can do to manipulate the price, and then blame it on slow execution/comfirmation service. Hell, you are complaining about 1/8 of a point, I have been screwed by ETrade for a lot worse than that. I suggest if you are not happy with ETrade, that you move on and find a different broker. I found for my self that the ETrade headache, heartache and ulcers were not worth it. My health is more important.

There are a lot of good brokers. I have heard good things about Schwab and Regal. My experience with Pioneer has been excellent. In fact, I only signed up with Pioneer, thinking that I will try them out for about a month to see how they were. Well, I have now been with them for 2 months now, and completely satisfied.

As far as I know, they charge $25 per trade for any number of shares. For instinet trades, they charge an extra 1/16 per share. You should call them yourself to make sure of your own trading patterns and possible costs. Their number is 800-756-6652 for customer service.

Let me know which broker you eventually go with, and your experience with them. I feel this is a great forum for sharing experiences, good or bad. I have learned a lot from others here at SI. And the only reason I still post here is to return the favor and that maybe someone else will learn a few things from my experience.

Best wishes.
