Nadine, I realize the site I am linking is problematic - but the information in the page I am linking seems reliable enough that I think it's a fair representation of the other side's point of view vis-a-vis Barak's generous offer at Camp David.

I am not the only person who thinks that Israel is wrong about the settlements - which does not make me anti-Israel.
I like it when Israelis come right out and say - "no, no, we will never give up the settlements, it's not on the table."
It is a fact, is it not, that the settlements are populated by deeply religious Jews, who by tradition do not serve in the IDF, but must be protected by bypass roads and checkpoints manned by the IDF? If Israel doesn't intend to change that, and it's not on the table, then just say so.
Much better than saying, "we offered them 95% and they spit on us." Which sounds whiny, and is disingenuous, IMO.
I don't really feel like looking for a less radical website right now. Sorry. If what they say isn't the truth, you can correct me or not, as you prefer. Just on the page I've linked. I have no idea what else they say. You already know how I feel about fraudulent journalism, I've expressed it before. |
