Aaargh. Monetary compensation? don't you think he's been offered this already? The Israelis have offered it for fifty years, Clinton offered him billions. He refused it, just as he's never used the billions he got from the US, the EU or the Gulf to build squat on the West Bank. Arafat is not interested in building anything but armies.

Well, Israel cannot get less than they got from Egypt, either: a neighbor who is not actively trying to kill them. One thing everyone knows for sure now is that Arafat either cannot or will not keep any deal whatsoever.
