It really doesn't matter either way. Those benchmarks did show the benefits of two memory channels compared to a single memory channel. But Intel's roadmap shows the dual RDRAM channel motherboards being replaced by dual DDR channel mother boards.

All upcoming Intel chipsets are DDR, from their entry level chips to their multi-processor servers. Every single one is DDR.

In a few months, RDRAM will be a product used in Sony Playstations and a few obscure network switches.

RDRAM is fast going the way of whatever that thing was that competed with Zip disks, from Syquest, wasn't it?

That's what's happening to Rambus.
