Everywhere I turn I see right-wing rage and left-wing lethargy. Very little debate or dialogue anymore. In 1970 it was the opposite: left-wing rage and right-wing lethargy.

I'll believe it when it happens. WSJ quoted an economist a couple days ago that we might be in a double-dip recession, and that the second dip is yet to come. That sounds more plausible to me than "Happy Days Are Here Again."
