The interesting factoid about this case is that Anna Nicole Smith was beat not so long ago, but the Marshall family pursued her in the Californian bankruptcy court to extract every last penny she "owed them". It turned out to be a double edged sword.

"A California bankruptcy court awarded Smith £325 million in December 2000. After a Texas jury ruled in May last year that Smith had no claim to the estate, Judge Carter threw out the original California ruling in her favour, pending his own review."
