Let me make an addendum to my last post.

Another scenario might come, as a hypothetical, if, for example, Poet posted something that said (I will deliberately pick something I think she would NOT say so this doesn't appear as a veiled attack, but as a true hypothetical) "I think the only way to solve the Middle East problem is to drop atom bombs on the whole area. Kill every Jew and Palestinian. Then they can't fight any more."

Now. In such a case, would it be proper, or improper, for me to post "I think any proposal to nuke the Middle East is extreme and, indeed, inhuman."

That might be a closer call in some peoples' minds, but I'm not sure I can participate comfortably on a thread where that sort of post could be made and I could be prohibited from expressing a contrary opinion.
