Short Cisco! Are you nuts? I would never short Cisco, nor have I ever recommended shorting Cisco. That may have been a good strategy for the last two years, but at these levels, there are better shorts out there. Anyway, my recommendation had been for a very long while that Cisco was a good buy under $15. I guess I was right, wasn't I? I have also stated many times on these threads that Cisco has always traded at a premium to DCF valuations. I think DCF is a good fundamental analysis tool, but I have always argued with John over this point, that DCF alone isn't the best way to do all your investing. It can help you choose entry points, but it isn't the only tool you should use. Hell, had I used DCF alone back in 1995, I would never have bought Cisco at around $7 a share. Anyway, I still own shares in Cisco, so I think I'd sell them before I did any shorting (and I almost never short any stock, much less Cisco).
