I agree with you on the need for tax reform. I've even begun to take a serious look at the flat tax IF (it's a big "if") it means that ALL U.S. corporations then would pay their fair share -- with no shenanigans -- and if the average American wouldn't get screwed. Our present tax system is failing us if Enron only paid federal taxes one year in the past five.

Yes, I also agree that the individual is getting hit too hard. Many of us on this thread pay Uncle Sam 28 cents of every dollar we earn, while GE pays a dime on the dollar.

Frankly, I don't care what Alec Baldwin says, but I do care about corporations setting up post office boxes in Bermuda to avoid paying $40 million to Uncle Sam.
