Ruffian: What is most interesting about this story is that it is the first comprehensive look at CDMA around the world I for one have seen to date.

We still find a mindboggling divide between the Eurocentric stories, which include the US East Coast reports BTW, which ignore CDMA as if it does not exist -- and the reality which would compare CDMA in its flavors to GSM in its.

All we read is about GSM, GPRS, (and even EDGE) with UTMS as an afterthought.

Zero coverage of CDMA One or CDMA 1x or ....

Still amazing to me.

Are these reporters so dependent on their European "suppliers of info" that they actually don't know that the world is now CDMA and GSM or what is it?

Again, how long can this set of two worlds of "reporting" continue.

Is it really that "east is east, and west is west, and never the twain shall meet?"

Hanover will be another case where we will be treated to "reporting" which assumes that Europe is the world and therefore there is nothing in the world but GSM/GPRS/EDGE and its set of dependents such as UMTS, on the pretense that there is no CDMA a'tal a'tal.

Best.
