From June of 1999, for the Small Speculators the two previous peaks and this week's report are:

Report   Net Long   S&P Cash
3/6/01     91,122       1254
9/10/01    87,410       1093
3/5/02    100,770       1146
They are longer now than any top and I would feel uncomfortable betting with this group.

Still, the NASDAQ is confusing since most everyone there is flat (slightly long or short).
