>>I think Dell is taking market share<<
I agree, but Dells big challenge will be how do they sell high-end severs without an outside technical sales team?
And what does Dell know about UNIX?
IBM just edged out SunW.
Disclaimer
I still own SunW at 32. The good news I didn't average down, and IBM is still one of my "monster" core holdings.;)

Armonk, New York, March 8 (Bloomberg) -- International Business Machines Corp. narrowly edged Sun Microsystems Inc. in the fourth quarter to become the world's top seller of server computers using the Unix operating system, a research firm said.

IBM hadn't led Unix market sales since the fourth quarter of 1998. IBM's market share was 26.9 percent and Sun's was 26.8 percent, researcher IDC said in a statement. Hewlett-Packard Co. had 25.5 percent of what IDC described as a market with ``fierce competition.''<<
