The new stimulus package ??

I just heard that this package will allow corporations to right off computer equipment that is older than 3 years as a tax right off.

The current tax law only allows a right off for equipment that is older than 5 years.

This new law will be in effect for the next 3 years.

Let's do the math folks....

Most of corporate America upgraded their computer systems for Y2k during 1998 and 1999.

This would of put them around 2003/04 before they could take advantage of the current tax laws and give them the incentive to replace their existing systems.

Now, with the new law they we are looking at 2001/02 and this incentive will last for 3 years before going back to the original 5 year law.

This does not mean they will start buying tomorrow, but we never know.

Talk about being the last to know...

When did they decide they were going to bring the stimulus package back ??

The last I knew they said it was dead...

The bubble is back folks...

I bet this creates a monster short squeeze in the tech sector...

PS

Just like I watched the market react 2 weeks prior to Sept 11th, I just watched it react 2 weeks ahead of the passing of this stimulus package. I bet they all got in ahead of the gang, I'm sure.....
