I understand the the NAS has forwarded MM's suggestion to the Nobel Committee, and in an unusually rapid and gratifying response (undoubtedly triggered by the urgency of the environmental degradation problem together with the excitement engendered by this new insight and instruction) a special meeting of the Nobel Science Academy members has been called whose brief is to arrive at headquarters prepared as they were not before to consult with MM, Rush Limbaugh and President George W. Bush for the purpose of establishing asap Big Picture Looking At guidelines. And not a moment too soon!

As to whether Michael will be honored with the Nobel for his dramatic, original contribution to the Philosophy of Science, only time will tell.
